Tesla Model Y L Competition - Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter is Sustainable Living Solutions Pty. Ltd. ABN 25 622 186 878, trading as Uncommon Solar (“Uncommon Solar” or the “Promoter”), of 2/79 Princes Way, Drouin VIC 3818.

2. Promotion

The promotion is the Uncommon Solar – Win a Tesla Model Y L Competition (“Promotion”).

By entering the Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Entry is free other than the normal cost of purchasing and installing an Eligible Product as described below.

3. Who can enter?

Entry is open to individuals who:

are aged 18 years or over;
reside in Victoria, Australia;
have an Eligible Product installed by Uncommon Solar at a Victorian property during the Qualifying Installation Period;
are the customer named on the relevant Uncommon Solar invoice, or are an eligible nominated entrant where the invoice is held jointly;
have paid all amounts owing to Uncommon Solar in relation to the qualifying installation by the Entry Closing Date;
follow the official Uncommon Solar Facebook page;
complete the Facebook photo entry requirements set out in these Terms & Conditions; and
otherwise comply with these Terms & Conditions.

Employees, officers and contractors of the Promoter who are directly involved in administering the Promotion, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, “immediate family” means spouse, de facto spouse, parent, child or sibling, whether or not they live in the same household.

4. Qualifying Installation Period

An Eligible Product must be installed by Uncommon Solar between:

12:01 am on 1 July 2026 and 11:59 pm on 28 February 2027

inclusive.

All times referred to in these Terms & Conditions are Melbourne, Victoria time.

The installation date, rather than the date a quote, deposit or order was placed, determines whether a product qualifies.

This means customers who had an Eligible Product installed by Uncommon Solar from 1 July 2026 onwards may be eligible to enter, even if their installation occurred before the Promotion was publicly launched.

An Eligible Product ordered during the Promotion but not installed by 28 February 2027 will not qualify unless the Promotion is formally extended by the Promoter in accordance with applicable law.

5. Eligible Products

For the purposes of this Promotion, an “Eligible Product” is a new:

Tesla Powerwall 3; or
Tesla Powerwall 3 Expansion

supplied and installed by Uncommon Solar during the Qualifying Installation Period.

An Expansion installed onto an eligible existing Tesla Powerwall system may qualify as an Eligible Product provided the Expansion itself is supplied and installed by

Uncommon Solar during the Qualifying Installation Period.

Warranty replacements, product swaps or replacement units supplied without an additional qualifying purchase do not create an additional entry.

6. How Many Entries Do I Receive?

Entrants receive one entry for every Eligible Product installed.

For example:

1 × Tesla Powerwall 3 = 1 entry

1 × Tesla Powerwall 3 Expansion = 1 entry

1 × Tesla Powerwall 3 + 1 × Expansion = 2 entries

1 × Tesla Powerwall 3 + 2 × Expansions = 3 entries

2 × Tesla Powerwall 3 = 2 entries

There is no maximum number of entries, provided each entry corresponds to a separate

Eligible Product supplied and installed as part of a genuine qualifying transaction.

A customer does not need to upload a separate Facebook photo for every Eligible Product.

One valid Facebook entry can activate all eligible entries associated with that customer’s qualifying installation or installations.

7. How to Enter

To activate their competition entry or entries, an eligible customer must complete all of the following steps:

Step 1 – Have an Eligible Product Installed

Have at least one Eligible Product supplied and installed by Uncommon Solar during the Qualifying Installation Period.

Step 2 – Take Your Competition Photo

Take a photograph of yourself with the official Uncommon Solar competition corflute sign supplied or made available by Uncommon Solar.

The entrant must be clearly identifiable in the photograph.

Where possible, the photograph should be taken at the property where the qualifying Tesla Powerwall or Expansion was installed.

Customers whose eligible installation occurred after 1 July 2026 but before the public launch of this Promotion will be given an opportunity to obtain or access an official competition sign in order to complete their entry.

Step 3 – Follow Uncommon Solar on Facebook

The entrant must follow the official Uncommon Solar Facebook page.

The entrant must be following the page when their entry is verified.

Step 4 – Upload Your Photo

Upload the competition photo as a comment on the official Uncommon Solar Tesla Model Y L Competition Facebook post, or by another entry method expressly nominated by Uncommon Solar.

Entrants are not required to share the competition post to their personal Facebook timeline.

Step 5 – Tag Yourself

The entrant must accurately tag their own Facebook profile in the competition photo or entry comment where Facebook functionality permits.

The entrant must actually appear in the photograph being tagged.

If Facebook functionality or an entrant’s privacy settings prevent self-tagging,

Uncommon Solar may verify the entrant’s identity through their Facebook profile and Uncommon Solar customer records.

8. Entry Closing Date

Qualifying installations must be completed by: 11:59 pm on 28 February 2027.

Eligible customers will then have until: 11:59 pm on 7 March 2027

to complete the Facebook follow, photograph and entry requirements.

Entries received or completed after this time will not be accepted unless the Promotion is formally extended.

9. Facebook Entry Requirements

Competition photos must:

feature the eligible entrant;
feature the official Uncommon Solar competition sign;
be suitable for public display;
not contain unlawful, offensive, defamatory or inappropriate material;
not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of another person; and
comply with Facebook’s applicable terms and policies.

Entrants should avoid including children or other identifiable people in the photograph unless appropriate consent has been obtained.

The Promoter may reject an entry that does not reasonably satisfy these requirements.

10. Verification of Entries

Uncommon Solar will verify entries against its customer, invoice and installation records.

The number of entries allocated to an eligible entrant will be determined by the number of Eligible Products actually supplied and installed by Uncommon Solar during the Qualifying Installation Period.

If the name used by a customer on Facebook differs from the name appearing on their Uncommon Solar customer record, the Promoter may contact the entrant to verify their identity.

The Promoter may request reasonable evidence of:

identity;
age;
Victorian residency;
ownership or occupation of the installation property;
the qualifying installation; and
compliance with these Terms & Conditions.

Failure to provide reasonable verification may result in an entry being deemed invalid.

11. Joint Customers and Households

Where an installation invoice is issued jointly to more than one person, the eligible entries arising from that installation belong to the qualifying transaction rather than separately to each person named on the invoice.

The joint customers must nominate one eligible individual as the entrant for the Promotion.

Entries cannot be duplicated simply because more than one person lives at the installation address or appears on the invoice.

12. Cancelled, Refunded or Unpaid Installations

An entry may be declared invalid if, before the draw:

the qualifying transaction is cancelled;
the Eligible Product is returned or permanently removed and the purchase price refunded;
payment is reversed or dishonoured;
amounts due to Uncommon Solar remain unpaid after their due date; or
the Promoter reasonably determines that the qualifying transaction or entry was fraudulent or created primarily to manipulate the Promotion.

Normal warranty repairs or replacement of a faulty Eligible Product will not invalidate an otherwise legitimate qualifying entry.

13. The Prize

There is one major prize.

The prize is:

One brand-new Tesla Model Y L Premium All-Wheel Drive

The vehicle will be supplied in a colour and standard configuration nominated by the Promoter, subject to vehicle availability.

As at the date these Terms & Conditions were prepared, the manufacturer’s recommended retail price of the Tesla Model Y L Premium is $74,900 before on-road costs.

The final total prize value will be:

Approximately $[INSERT FINAL DRIVE-AWAY PRIZE VALUE] including applicable standard Victorian on-road costs.

The Promoter will pay the standard registration, compulsory statutory charges and on-road costs necessary to transfer the prize vehicle to the winner in Victoria.

Unless expressly included by the Promoter, the prize does not include:

optional vehicle accessories or upgrades selected by the winner;
home EV charging equipment;
comprehensive motor vehicle insurance;
electricity or charging costs;
ongoing registration following the initial registration period;
servicing;
maintenance; or
any other ongoing ownership or running costs.

14. No Cash Alternative

The prize is not transferable or exchangeable for cash at the request of the winner.

If the advertised Tesla Model Y L becomes unavailable for reasons outside the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may, subject to applicable law, provide a substitute prize of the same or greater value.

Where required, the winner’s written agreement will be obtained before a substituted prize is provided.

15. Prize Draw

The prize draw will take place at: 12:00 pm on Friday, 12 March 2027

at:

Each valid competition entry will be entered separately into the draw.

For example, an eligible customer with three valid entries will have three separate chances included in the draw.

The winner will be selected using a random draw method that gives every valid entry an equal chance of being selected.

Entrants do not need to be present at the draw.

16. Winner Notification

The provisional winner will be contacted using the contact details held by Uncommon Solar within two business days of the draw.

The winner will also be advised in writing.

The Promoter may require the provisional winner to provide reasonable proof of identity and eligibility before the prize is confirmed.

Once eligibility has been verified, the entrant will be confirmed as the winner.

17. Publication of Winner

The winner’s name and Victorian suburb will be published on:

the Uncommon Solar website; and
the official Uncommon Solar Facebook page

on or around 12 March 2027.

The winner announcement will remain available online for at least 28 days.

18. Unclaimed Prize and Redraw

The Promoter will make reasonable attempts to contact and identify the winner.

If the provisional winner:

cannot be contacted despite reasonable efforts;
does not respond within the period reasonably specified by the Promoter;
is found to be ineligible;
has breached these Terms & Conditions; or
cannot otherwise be confirmed as the winner,

the Promoter may conduct a redraw.

If required, the redraw will occur at: 12:00 pm on Wednesday, 31 March 2027

The redraw will be conducted from all remaining valid entries using the same random selection process.

Any replacement winner will be notified in writing and published on the Uncommon Solar website and Facebook page in accordance with applicable requirements.

19. Delivery of the Prize

The Promoter will arrange for the prize to be transferred to the confirmed winner in accordance with applicable Victorian requirements.

The winner must reasonably cooperate with the Promoter, Tesla and any relevant registration authority to enable registration and transfer of the vehicle.

The prize will be delivered or transferred within the period required by applicable law following the relevant prize draw.

The winner is responsible for arranging comprehensive insurance and all ongoing costs associated with the vehicle following transfer.

20. Use of Competition Photos

By entering the Promotion, each entrant grants the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to reproduce, publish and share their submitted competition photograph for purposes associated with:

administering the Promotion;
promoting the Promotion;
announcing or celebrating entrants and the winner;
Uncommon Solar’s website;
Uncommon Solar’s organic social media; and
reasonable promotional material relating to the Promotion.

The entrant retains ownership of their photograph.

The Promoter will not sell an entrant’s photograph to a third party.

Where an entrant’s image is proposed to be used in substantial paid advertising unrelated to the Promotion, the Promoter may seek additional permission where appropriate.

21. Winner Publicity

The winner agrees to participate in reasonable publicity associated with the Promotion, including photography or video of the prize handover.

The Promoter may publish the winner’s name, suburb, image and prize details in connection with announcing and promoting the outcome of the Promotion.

22. Personal Information

The Promoter will collect and use personal information provided by entrants for the purposes of:

administering the Promotion;
verifying eligibility;
allocating competition entries;
contacting entrants where necessary;
contacting and verifying the winner;
delivering the prize;
publishing information required by law; and
administering the entrant’s existing relationship with Uncommon Solar.

Entering the Promotion does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive unrelated marketing communications where separate consent is required.

Personal information will otherwise be handled in accordance with Uncommon Solar’s Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.

23. Facebook Disclaimer

This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook or Meta Platforms, Inc.

Each entrant releases Facebook and Meta Platforms, Inc. from any liability associated with the Promotion to the extent permitted by law.

Entrants provide their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook.

The use of Facebook as part of the entry process is subject to Facebook’s own terms, policies and platform functionality.

Entrants are not required to share the Promotion on their personal timeline, share it on another person’s timeline or tag friends in order to enter.

24. Tesla Disclaimer

Tesla, Tesla Model Y L, Tesla Powerwall and associated marks are trademarks or intellectual property of Tesla, Inc. or its related entities.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Tesla is not the promoter, sponsor or administrator of this Promotion and is not responsible for its conduct.

The Promoter is solely responsible for administering the Promotion and awarding the prize.

25. Invalid Entries

The Promoter reserves the right, acting reasonably, to declare an entry invalid if the entrant:

provides false or misleading information;
tampers with the entry process;
attempts to obtain entries to which they are not entitled;
uses multiple or false identities to manipulate the Promotion;
submits an image belonging to someone else without permission;
does not comply with the entry requirements; or
otherwise breaches these Terms & Conditions.

Any decision to invalidate an entry will be made reasonably and in accordance with applicable law.

26. Facebook or Technical Problems

The Promoter is not responsible for temporary Facebook outages, internet failures or other technical problems outside its reasonable control.

Where a genuine technical issue prevents an otherwise eligible customer from completing the Facebook component of entry before the Entry Closing Date, the entrant should contact Uncommon Solar before the closing date.

The Promoter may provide a reasonable alternative method for completing the entry requirements where appropriate and permitted by law.

27. Changes or Cancellation

If circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control prevent the Promotion from being conducted as intended, the Promoter may modify, suspend or cancel the Promotion to the extent permitted by law.

Any material change will be communicated appropriately to affected entrants.

Nothing in this clause permits the Promoter to avoid awarding a prize where doing so would be contrary to applicable law.

28. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for loss or damage arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control.

29. Records

The Promoter will maintain appropriate records relating to:

valid competition entries;
the allocation of multiple entries;
the conduct of the prize draw; and
the awarding of the prize

for the period required under applicable Victorian law.

30. Governing Law

This Promotion is conducted in Victoria, Australia.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria and applicable Commonwealth laws of Australia.
